We wish this existed when we landed in Perth

Perth Airport, 2018 — Five suitcases, three kids, no idea what we were doing

In 2018, my family moved from Belgrade to Perth. We had five suitcases, three kids, and no idea what we were doing. I was a marketing manager with 15 years of experience. My first job in Australia was cleaning offices at 5am.

We spent years figuring out how to rebuild — how to find work, make friends, raise kids between cultures, and slowly turn a foreign country into home. It was hard, lonely, and nobody warned us about the parts that actually matter.

Aussie Immigrants is everything we wish had existed when we arrived. Real stories from people who have done it. Honest guides that skip the fluff. A community that understands what it means to go from landing to belonging.
